The 6th AASIC will provide an online proceeding for all selected papers (ISSN) with a QR Scan Code.

There are opportunities for the participants to publish in several journals listed as the 6th AASIC promotion partner. However, the participants may choose to publish in the conference proceeding or submit the manuscript to the journal by themselves.

The 6th AASIC  will give awards for The Best Paper and The Best Presenter in 5 Sub-Themes:

1. Advancing Health and Eradicating Diseases

2. Re-Emerging Power and Empowering Society

3. Technology and Science On the Move

4. Boosting Quality and Assuring Effectivity

5. Other inspiring topics that related to the theme

The 10 awards for The Best Paper (5) and The Best Presenter (5) will be announced on Day 2 during the closing ceremony event. A certificate and a special prize will be given to 10 participants who win the awards.…

       4. Prof. Dr. Peter Mayer

University of Applied Sciences Osnabrueck, Germany

 

Prof. Dr. Peter Meyer is concurrently Dean of the Faculty for Business Management and Social Sciences, Hochschule Osnabrück, University of Applied Sciences (Germany) and has his expertise on Logistics and Management.

He got his Doctorate degree at Johann Wolfgang Goethe University (1992). Title of doctoral thesis: Inefficiencies of small enterprises in developing countries with special reference to x-efficiency theory.

 

Special Workshop of Academic Writing and Publication

This special workshop is FREE for all participants. This event will be delivered by:

Dr. Prarthana Coffin, Assistant Dean of School of Liberal Arts, Mae Fah Luang University

Dr. Prarthana Coffin is currently an L2 writing instructor at Mae Fah Luang University in Thailand. She has also served as an exam writer for Mae Fah Luang Test of English Proficiency (MFUTEP) since 2008 . She has also served as a scientific committee of IRSPBL 2015, 2017 and 2018, and as a reviewer of international journals: European Journal in Engineering Education (EJEE), International Journal of Engineering Education (IJEE), and Journal of Problem Based Learning in Higher Education (JPBLHE).

Education:
2015: PhD in Planning and Development of Higher Education, Aalborg University, Denmark. Dissertation: The Impact of Implementing Problem-Based Learning in a Thai University.

2001: MA in English, University of Toledo, USA. MA Thesis: A Cross-Cultural Analysis of Communicative Language Teaching.

Conference Programs

General Overview of 6th AASIC

The 6th AASIC will be in a two-day full conference and one additional (optional) Chiang Rai City Tour program (Chiang Rai to Remember), started from 8 to 10 November 2018. The program will cover the main theme of the event, “A Transformative Community: Asia in Dynamism, Innovation, and Globalization”.

In the first day of the conference, the M-Square auditorium will become the home for our keynote speaker from La Trobe University, Australia, that will elaborate the main theme of the conference, “A Transformative Community: Asia in Dynamism, Innovation, and Globalization”.

The round table session will be held after the coffee break, and the participants can have more insight on four main aspects: Social Science, Engineering, Medicine, and Tourism Management and Hospitality. The first round  of parallel session of academic oral presentation will be held after lunch. At the end of the first day, a campus tour will be given by MFU Young Ambassador 2018 to the participants to explore the beauty of Mae Fah Luang University campus. To warmly greet all participants, a welcome dinner with Thai traditional Lanna (a name to mention an ancient Kingdom in the North Thailand) atmosphere will be conducted to facilitate the participants for network expansion and cultural exchange. This welcome dinner is part of the show performance of “Indonesian Night” special night, in collaboration with all Thai students who have learnt Indonesian language and culture at Mae Fah Luang University.

In the second day of the conference, the academic oral presentation will be started in M-Square classrooms. There will be 3 rounds of oral presentations and the event will be continued with a special workshop of Academic Writing and Publication to all participants in the auditorium. A closing ceremony with announcement of 10 winners for the Best Paper (5 people) and the Best Presenter (5 people) will be the last event that closes the whole event of the 6th AASIC. After the event, a special opportunity will be offered to the participants to have an Evening Walk to Chiang Rai Town, to enjoy the Chiang Rai Clock Tower, Night Bazaar, and the famous Walking Street.

In the third day, the participants may choose to have a Chiang Rai City Tour program (Chiang Rai to Remember) that they have bought in the first and the second day.
