**In the end of the 5th AASIC, there were 14 manuscripts proposed by participants from different academic fields. 1. Payment needs to be done by the author.
2. The 6th AASIC Committee will only help to link the author to the related journals, further process should be done by the author(s) and publishers of the journals.

AASIC 6 Host and Venue

Mae Fah Luang University, the University in the Park

Mae Fah Luang University (MFU) was established as an autonomous public university, under the Royal Charter, in 1998, with generous support from the Royal Thai Government. The University was established to meet the needs of people in the north of Thailand, and to commemorate the gracious contributions of the King’s Mother, Her Royal Highness Princess Srinagarindra, lovingly known to her subjects as “Mae Fah Luang.” From its inaugural class of 64 students in 1998, MFU has become Thailand’s fastest growing post-secondary institution with an enrollment of just under 15,000 students. After little over a decade of operation, MFU is already well known for its high-quality teaching, research, and service to the people of the north, as well as Thailand.

Mae Fah Luang Unviersity’s campus consists of a large complex of modern, state-of-the-art buildings, spanning more than 800 hectares. The campus is located in a spectacular setting of mountains and trees, an environment conducive to teaching and learning in a clean, inviting setting. As both a regional and national university, MFU provides high-quality education services and resources for the neighboring countries of the Greater Mekhong Sub-region (GMS), and reaches out to all of Southeast Asia.

Brief History of AASIC



In today’s knowledge landscape there are powerful drivers for multidisciplinary research. To solve the real world problems, need to moves beyond simple collaboration and teaming to integrate data, methodologies, perspectives and moreover concept from multiple disciplines in order to advance fundamental understanding. The complexity of societal problems in a world brings many forces in many aspects of life, which spans to the natural and social sciences. Multidisciplinary knowledge attains the kind of predictive capability that could inform policymakers.

Local wisdom as part of identity for each country is one of the unique and strong power to reduce and alleviate the impact of complexity problem of the world. Asia countries play important role in the global economy, international security and also the world’s collective efforts to improve the human development. Half of the world population lives in Asia and to alleviate the negative impact from complexity world’s problem, bring our own identity and experiences from the past learnt research could unfold the new steads to improve the future of human and environment resources.

Acknowledging the role as the agent of change, Indonesian team in Mae Fah Luang University wishes to respond by continuously providing a medium to share knowledge and experiences in the field of science/technology, health and humanities. We will invite experts, practitioners, professionals and students from Asia countries to share their expertise, experiences, and views to gain a better understanding of the most important issues in the region, and furthermore, to provide evidence-based studies to direct the government and policymakers in designing strategic planning for the future growth and development of the regions.

Brief History: Previous AASIC

AASIC was initiated by PERMITHA (Overseas Indonesian Student Association in Thailand), fully supported by the Indonesian Embassy for the Republic of Indonesia for the Kingdom of Thailand in Bangkok (KBRI Bangkok), with the ultimate goal to provide a channel to share experience and knowledge among students in ASEAN countries.

The 1st AASIC was originally named ASEAN Academic Society International Conference and taken place in Prince of Songkhla University in Hat Yai whilst the 2nd AASIC was taken place in Kasetsart University. The 3rd AASIC was then renamed into Asian Academic Society to expand its coverage. It was held in Chulalongkorn University in 2015, with the support of The Indonesian Embassy in Royal Kingdom of Thailand and Muslim Studies of Chulalongkorn University. With over a hundred participants, the conference highlighted the importance of integrated science, techonology and humanities for a sustainable development. In 2016, the 4th AASIC was held in Mahidol University, Salaya Campus, Phutthamonthon, Nakon Pathom, Thailand. As one of the green campus in Thailand, and also its role in Global Health Initiatives, Mahidol University Salaya. In 2017, the 5th AASIC was held in Khon Kaen University, Khon Kaen, Thailand. As one of the best universities as well as a research university in Thailand, and also the big university in “Isaan” (North-East of Thailand) region of Thailand (see: http://5thaasic.permithakhonkaen.org/)

In 2018, 6th AASIC is held in Mae Fah Luang University, the university in the park that is located in the northern-most hill of Thailand. This campus is the only public university in Thailand that using English as daily teaching and learning medium.…
